For roughly a year I worked as a technical advisor to Running Tide, an aquaculture startup based in Portland Maine. I learned about Oysters and how to grow them, and helped with various projects, such as developing a machine vision system for counting oysters moving by on a conveyor belt. I also developed a numerical model of the proposed oyster farm that allowed the team to understand how the physical volume of the farmed oysters was going to increase.
